Getting Started with Royaltiz: Complete Onboarding Guide

Everything you need to know to create your account, connect, deposit funds, and start collecting ROYs.


What is Royaltiz?

Royaltiz is a platform where you collect and trade ROYs — digital assets tied to real athletes' performance. ROYs live on the Base blockchain and are purchased with USDC (a stablecoin worth 1 USD).


Step 1: Log In or Sign Up


Go to royaltiz.com and click "Connect Wallet". You'll see several ways to log in:


Option A: Email, Google, or Twitter (No crypto needed)


If you're new to crypto, this is the simplest way to start:

  1. Email — Enter your email address and click Submit. You'll receive a login link.
  2. Google — Click "Google" and sign in with your Google account.
  3. Twitter — Click "Twitter" and authorize with your X account.

A wallet will be created for you automatically behind the scenes. No technical setup required.


Option B: Connect with a Wallet (For crypto users)


If you already have a crypto wallet, click "Continue with a wallet" and choose from the supported options:

  • Base (recommended — gas fees are covered)
  • MetaMask
  • Phantom
  • Coinbase Wallet
  • Rainbow
  • Keplr
  • Trust Wallet
  • WalletConnect (connects most other wallets)
  • Binance Wallet

Make sure your wallet is set to the Base network before connecting.


Option C: Passkey


If you've previously set up a passkey, click "I have a passkey" to log in instantly.


Option D: Royaltiz Mini App (via Base App)


You can also access Royaltiz directly inside the Base mobile app:

  1. Download the Base app on Android or iOS
  2. Open the app and find Royaltiz in the mini app store
  3. Your Base wallet is automatically connected


Step 2: Deposit Funds (USDC)


Royaltiz uses USDC on the Base network. USDC is a stablecoin — 1 USDC = 1 USD. Royaltiz does not accept direct EUR or USD payments.


If you signed up with Email, Google, or Twitter:

Your wallet was created automatically. You can fund it by:

  • Purchasing USDC directly through the wallet interface using a card or bank transfer
  • Receiving USDC from another wallet to your Royaltiz wallet address


If you connected a crypto wallet:

  • Buy USDC on an exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.)
  • Send or bridge your USDC to the Base network
  • If you're using a wallet other than Base, make sure you also have a small amount of ETH on Base for gas fees


Gas fees:

  • Base account / Email / Google / Twitter users: Gas fees are covered — you don't need ETH.
  • External wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.): You'll need a small amount of ETH on the Base network to pay for gas.


Step 3: Browse and Buy ROYs


You don't have to buy anything right away — feel free to explore first.

Explore the market:

  • Visit the main page to see all available athletes and ROY prices
  • Filter by sport: Soccer, Tennis, Motorsports, Football, and more
  • Click on any athlete to see their profile and performance data


Ready to buy:

  1. Go to the athlete's page
  2. Click the buy option
  3. Choose the number of ROYs you want
  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet
  5. Done — your ROYs appear in your portfolio
